author : Suzie WildeSuzie Wilde was born a Shackleton in Portsmouth, UK, in August, the year rationing ended. Her parents met making planes for De Havilland. She is the sixth child of eight: the only girl and only survivor, born in a flat that looks out over a graveyard towards the sea.\n\nSuzie has worked as a shop girl, painter, masseur, teacher, maritime researcher and postman. After gaining an MA with Distinction in Creative Writing in 2011, Suzie gave up her random jobs to write full time and run workshops on various aspects of creative writing. Her debut novel, The Book of Bera was published by Unbound in 2017. It's a Viking thriller, praised by Lee Child, and was one of the Guardian newspaper's top 5 SFF books that year.
